Robert J. Barnett, DDS

Dr. Barnett received his DDS degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry in May in 1980.

Dr. Barnett has completed hundreds of hours of advanced aesthetic, CEREC and surgical training with some of the world’s leading dental experts. He is a member of the following organizations:

• American Dental Association
• Garland County Dental Society

Dr. Barnett has committed much of his free time volunteering in his community through various outreach programs. He received an award for excellence in Community Preventive Dentistry.

He has practiced in Hot Springs, AR since 1980 and has a successful, family oriented practice.  Dr. Barnett enjoys playing tennis and working out. He is married and has three children.

Staff

She is a native Arkansas and resides in Hot Springs with her husband and three children. Julie loves Jazzercise and is an avid fan of her children and softball.

Leslie Cordell, RDA
Leslie has worked in the dental field since May 2008. Prior to becoming a Dental Assistant, she worked as a cashier at Brookshire’s in Malvern, AR.

She spent her childhood in Poyen, AR., and has lived in Malvern since September 2009. Her leisure activities include spending time with family, hunting, fishing, playing at the lake and riding 4-wheelers.

Mary Jean Young, Financial Coordinator
Mary has a happy outgoing attitude toward each and every patient. She pays meticulous attention toevery patient regarding their specific financial needs. Mary has 20 years experience filing insurance for Dr. Barnett’s patients. She enjoys being part of such a great team and help making people smile.

When not at work, Mary is either playing on the lake with her five grandchildren or buying and selling European antiques.

Tammy Garrett, RDA | Business Associate

Tammy has been in dentistry since 1999 and works as a Dental Assistant as well as oversees many of the office duties; such as scheduling and Medicaid filing. She loves assisting Dr. Barnett in creating new smiles for people.

Tammy has lived in the Hot Springs area for 16 years. She enjoys hanging out with her grandchildren and seeing the wonder of life through their eyes.

Melissa Loy, RDH
Melissa earned her dental hygiene degree from UAMS in 1993. She joined Dr. Barnett’s staff in 2002. She believes oral health promotes overall health. It is her goal to provide each patient with a pleasant dental experience, and to educate them regarding their oral health so they can attain healthy teeth and gums for a lifetime.

Stacey Sherman, RDH
She has been a dental hygienist with Dr. Barnett since 2008. Stacey enjoys helping patients improve the quality of their life through better oral health. 

Stacey enjoys getting to know patients and building long term relationships with them.  She enjoys time off with her husband and baby boy. Stacey loves to sing and is a worship leader at LakePointe Church in Hot Springs, AR.

Beverly Harris, RDH (Not Pictured)
Beverly has been in a part time hygienist with Dr. Barnett for over 10 years. She loves helping and teaching people about good oral health. She is an avid golfer. Beverly lives in the Village with her husband, Henry and their dog Lucky.
